A S.H.A.P.E. Discovery Session is a 1 hour meeting with a Shape Guide targeted at finding a fulfilling place for you to serve and express your S.H.A.P.E.
Where does it take place?
S.H.A.P.E. Discovery Sessions are held primarily at the church office.
When will I meet with someone?
S.H.A.P.E. Discovery Sessions are offered at various times of the day and week.
With whom do I meet?
Your S.H.A.P.E. Discovery Session is facilitated by a trained Shape Guide who will depend on the Holy Spirit to guide your time as you start to explore service opportunities here at Crossroads. The Shape Guides are unpaid ministers.
What can I expect?
During your S.H.A.P.E. Discovery Session your Shape Guide will...
· Meet you in the lobby of the church office
· Offer you something to drink
· Talk about your day
· Be Confidential
· Review your SHAPE Profile starting with your experiences and ending with your spiritual gifts.
· Talk about other responsibilities you have in life and determine the best serving opportunity. We have found over the years people fall into one of four areas:
1. Ready to serve
2. Need time to heal, spiritually or emotionally
3. Already serving
4. Want to start a new ministry
*Your Shape Guide will offer you 2-3 service opportunities that fit your SHAPE.
*Your Shape Guide will then contact the appropriate ministry leader to connect with you
*Answer any questions you may have
*Close your time in prayer.
How much time is needed?
The average S.H.A.P.E. Discovery Session will last 1 hour. Please do your best to be on time so you and your Shape Guide can have enough time to explore service at Crossroads.
